There are many ways to improve your writing skills. Take a class with a respected teacher. Keep a journal. Practice, practice, practice.

One often overlooked way to improve your writing is by reading terrific writers. Not just the “greats” in literary history, but modern writers, journalists, playwrights, and well-edited blogs, can influence and improve your work.
